Challenge: Launch Insidious 3 in a crowded horror landscape – cutting through traditional media noise to reach horror fans with an experience that felt as disturbing and immersive as the film itself.
Solution: Created the world’s first interactive digital séance: #WeAreInsidious. Festival attendees became unwitting participants in a live séance, remotely controlled by online users assuming the role of malevolent spirits – blurring the line between digital interaction and real-world fear, and turning audiences into both performers and amplifiers.
Results: Transformed the film launch into a participatory horror experience that generated national buzz, earned press coverage, and sustained social conversation in the lead-up to release. The campaign reached tens of millions of impressions across digital and social, immersing fans in the tone of the franchise and extending the film’s world beyond the screen.
